Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Adaptly (the “Service”) at adaptly.cv and app.adaptly.cv, operated by the Adaptly team (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or tailoring a CV you accept these terms.

1. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Adaptly. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. One account per person.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use Adaptly only for tailoring résumés you own or are authorised to edit, against job descriptions you intend to apply to. You will not:

• Upload content you do not own or have rights to use, or content that infringes anyone's rights.
• Attempt to bypass quotas, rate limits, abuse-prevention measures, or authentication.
• Use the Service to generate misleading, fraudulent, or unlawful content, including résumés containing fabricated experience, credentials, or identities.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service or its output beyond your personal job search.

3. Truthful output

Adaptly is designed to preserve company names, employment periods, and education entries verbatim and to never invent skills or experience you do not have. In Aggressive Rewrite mode you opt in to broader restructuring of bullets, summary, and skills; the anchors above still hold. You remain responsible for reviewing the tailored output and ensuring it is accurate before sending it to any employer.

4. Plans, billing, and refunds

The Free plan includes 2 lifetime tailorings. Pro plans (monthly or yearly) are billed via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled in the billing portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods. If you believe you were charged in error, email support@adaptly.cv within 14 days and we will review the case.

5. Your content and licence

You retain all rights to the CV and job content you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely to provide the Service to you — including transmitting it to our sub-processors (see the privacy policy). We will never use your content to train AI models or share it for any purpose outside providing the Service.

6. AI output disclaimer

Adaptly uses third-party AI models. Output may contain mistakes, inappropriate phrasing, or content you disagree with. ATS scores are estimates only and do not guarantee any interview or hiring outcome. Always review tailored output before submitting it.

7. Availability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do our best to keep it online but make no uptime guarantees. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that abuse the Service. You may terminate your account at any time by emailing support@adaptly.cv.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adaptly is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or the outcome of any specific job application. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced via email to signed-in users at least 14 days before they take effect.
